Monthly Favourites #7 - October

It's time for another monthly faves! I'm still going with my method of keeping away from beauty things and do the little categories I've chosen below!!

Song
I have had this song for over a year, but never really gave it a chance to like it. However it got stuck on repeat in the car accidentally one day and now I'm obsessed with it! Guess that happens on a 20 minute car ride with the same song! I'm also loving these girls right now with their music and wish I'd found them sooner!

Picture
My favourite picture from this month has to be this one of me with Hilly and Hannah Hindi from the MCM London Comic Con on the 25th of the month! I had a total blast that day and meeting them before we left was the icing on the cake! They were so lovely and I got to see Hilly have a laughter fit over me asking about their wigs, so that was awesome!

TV Show
I bloody love this show. Annalise is one of my fave character on TV right now, she's just fucking amazing. We already know who killed Rebecca - which I was shocked that they revealed it so soon into the season, but now we have flash-forwards of what's to come in this season and HOLY CRAP

Movie
Having not gone to the cinema this month, it's been a case of watching older films and trying to work our way through the massive pile of the ones I've not see that are on Cameron's floor! We ended up watching the Avengers movie during the month on a lazy day, and we're going to re-watch Age of Ultron soon!

Random Section
So for the random section, I've gone with this image of me with my copy of Zoella's new book 'Girl Online: On Tour' which came out in the month! I've not read it all yet, but I'm super happy that I got it the day before it was released (thank you Amazon pre-ordering!) And isn't the cover just so cute?!?!

Hope you enjoyed these faves for October! What have you loved this month from each category? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe!

MCM Comic Con London 2015 Vlog

On the 24th an 25th of this month, I went to the MCM Comic Con in London with my cousin's Daniel and Lucy! This is the second time I've been to the Expo/Con, and it was AMAZING once again.

I decided to vlog both days, and managed to get some good footage, albeit not a lot as I was so busy buying things and being over excited at everything I saw!! You can find out more about the event HERE. The dates for the Expo next May have been released already, and I so badly want to go again!

We done a bit of Cosplaying for the second day and I was stopped a few times for pictures, which was so awesome! I went as Arkham Knight game characters, Harley Quinn, Daniel and Lucy were Barry and Moira from the Resident Evil Revelations 2 game! I even got to meet Hilly and Hannah from the Hillywood show on Sunday which was both awesome and scary - but they were so sweet and lovely!!

Here's the vlog of the weekend!!

Hope you enjoyed this little vlog! If you liked it, please go ahead and subscribe to my YouTube channel!! Have you ever been to a Convention like this, or were you at this event?? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Aisle Style - 2016 Bridesmaid Dress Collection*

Despite not being engaged, nor planning on getting married for a few years yet, I already know some of the details I'd like to have on the day! I've no idea what dress I'd like either, but having come across an online store called Aisle Style, I now have a rough idea!

I have a few weddings to attend next year, so some of the bridesmaid dresses would be perfect to wear as a wedding guest as they are so elegant. You can look at the 2016 bridesmaid dresses here, and see what they have on offer! You can search by colour, style or price - which is great if you know your budget and what look you are going for.

I've had a little look on the site and have found six beautiful dresses that I would love to have for the weddings I'm going to next year!

This dress also comes in Mint, Pink, Dark Navy and Blushing Pink - along with many others!! I had to pick this Emerald one though as it's not a colour you see a lot at weddings! The dress is so elegant looking with the lace neckline!

This dress is just so lovely! I think strapless dresses are quite popular at weddings, but this mint colour is so nice, and come Spring, I think this would be really popular.

As much as I love a long dress, sometimes a shorter one is much better for last Spring and during the Summer - in which case this is perfect. I'm not sure on this pink shade, but it comes ina  ruby red shade which I think would look beautiful!

Like the above dress, this one is another short one for the same reasons! Usually I don't like high neck dresses, but this is so nice, I couldn't not share it. It also comes in a variety of colours, but this pink shade or maybe a light blue would look so pretty with the lace panel at the top.

Ahh, a black dress! You cannot go wrong in a black dress, as it's so classic and stylish. This is a simple long line dress with spaghetti straps, which is perfect for summer! This would be great as a guest dress too - especially if it's a black tie dress code!

Finally, a bridesmaid classic! I have seen this style of dress at so many weddings that it needed to be included. It's got a nice fitted waist line, plus the neckline ruffles give the dress an overall look that is just so nice! There are other colours available, but this grape shade is too nice not to pick!

The prices are so good on this site too, so you know the dress is going to be good! Which of the above dresses do you like, or are there any on the site that you'd like yourself? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Zoella Candy Cream Body Lotion | Review

 Hello everyone!

You may have seen that Zoella has released a new set of products for her beauty product range, adding to the previous products from last Autumn. You can see all the available products at Superdrug! If you remember when the other range came out, I tried three products and was really underwhelmed and disappointed in the products and the scent. You can read that review here

I've got the foam shower gel and body spritz from the new range already, but I my cousin Sophie gave me this for my birthday last month! This retails at £5 in Superdrug, and I don't think that's too bad for the size of this as it's quite large.

The packaging is really cute like the rest of the tutti fruity range, and I like all the pastel colours and the little lace patterns that cover all the items. As it's part of the 'tutti fruity' range, I knew what the scent would be due to owning two of the other products, so I knew I would like it before I'd even opened it!

The scent is nice and fruity and lasts longer with this product than with the others. It's so easy to use and leaves the skin feeling super soft afterwards. There is blueberry and acai berry in this, which means it's good for the skin and will leave it super soft - which is definitely done. You don't need a great deal of product either for the desired effect, and my legs felt so good afterwards!

The products are also not tested on animals, which is an added bonus and the scent is really nice compared to the Classic range. Have you tried any of the Zoella range, past or current? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blow Dry Lotion | Review

Hello everyone!

I've been getting a lot more into hair products over the past couple of months now, and this beauty is from John Frieda, and it's something I've been enjoying! I was given the travel sized ones for a Christmas gift and had to go out and buy the big ones as the small ones ran out so fast! The above is the small sample from Christmas, but you can buy the 125ml version from Boots for £5.99.

A bit pricey for my liking, but I bought it anyway and knew it would be good as the small version was so good! The travel sized one only lasted for a week as the bottle is so small, but I knew I wanted the larger version after a few times of trying it.

It smells like a classic hair salon after sing it, but that doesn't bother me! I used the shampoo and conditioner from the same range to wash my hair and then towel dried it before spraying this onto my hair and roots. Blow drying my hair upside down works the best with this, and I find that an extra spray or two while mid-dry works quite well. After this I would then use the hairspray from the same range as well, regardless of styling it or not.

It left my hair feeling nice and smooth and a little more bouncy at the roots, although not much of a visible difference, but enough for my hair to have some more volume. If I use it for a whole week or so, there is a lot more visible volume at the crown and front of the hair line, so all in all, I love it. Regardless of the price, I'd buy this often as I really do love it.

Have you tried this and what did you think of it? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Top 5 Autumn TV Picks

Hello everyone!

I'm quite a fan on TV show, predominately anything from America as they have some really good shows these days! I thought I'd share my top five programmes of the season and tell you why I love them!

The Good Wife - Sundays on CBS
Well what can I say about this? I watched the first six seasons in two months and was hooked from the first episode. I love the characters, the story lines have been amazing and 'that' character's death in season five was a shocker. And let's talk about the last season! WHAT THE HELL KALINDA AND CARY. I'm hooked on this and now season seven has started, I can't wait to see what they have in store.

How To Get Away With Murder - Thursdays on ABC
Where do I start? I wrote up my feelings as I watched the season one finale, and the new season is already bringing up questions. We already know who killed Rebecca - which I was shocked they revealed so soon into the season, but now we have flashfowards of what's to come in this season and HOLY CRAP. What is with all the death and blood and mystery?? If anything, my money is on Frank being the murderer for everything. I'm still in shock from season one!

The Big Bang Theory - Mondays on CBS
Who does't love this show? It makes me so happy that this is season nine and it's still so popular! I love the characters so much and I seriously ship Sheldon and Amy, so the ending of last season broke my nerdy heart. As for the new season so far, it's been great and episode three had me cry laughing at parts of it! If you've never watched this, please do!

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D - Tuesdays on ABC
If you've been with this blog for two years, you know how much of a Marvel fan and geek girl I am. I love that they made this show to fill the void between Marvel movies and that it's all tied into the films somehow - even if the film universe are still refusing to acknowledge this... My fave characters are Fitz and Simmons and I'm still waiting for them to get together after that explosive finale back in season one...

Scandal - Thursdays on ABC
I still think this is one of Shonda's best shows alongside HTGAWM. Season five has started and already there is drama. I'm still loving Huck and Quinn's weird relationship, I think Olivia and Abby are kicking ass, and I am OBSESSED with Bellamy Young as the wonderful Senator Mellie Grant. That woman is a goddess. If you've not seen this so far, give it a watch and see if you can piece things together before it happens!

Have you seen any of the above and which shows are your fave for the new season? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Zoella Let's Spritz Body Mist | Review

Hello everyone!

You may have seen that Zoella has released a new set of products for her beauty product range, adding to the previous products from last Autumn. You can see all the available products at Superdrug! If you remember when the other range came out, I tried three products and was really underwhelmed and disappointed in the products and the scent. You can read that review here

I've got the foam shower gel from the new range already, but I picked up this one while on holiday in August! This retails at £8 in Superdrug, and I don't think that's too bad for the size of this and what the products is itself. It's quite similar to the body mist spray from the first rage, but with the new tutti fruity scent.

The packaging is really cute like last time, and I like all the pastel colours and the little lace patterns that cover all the items. As it's part of the 'tutti fruity' range, I was really hoping for a strong scent of fruits that would be miles better than the last range - and it's not too bad.

The scent is nice actually, and though it's not the strongest scent in the world, it's perfect for having a quick freshen up! I used this the other day and you can definitely smell it when using it and it's quite strong for a few minutes and then fades a little for a few hours - the scent didn't last too long after that really. I could still smell it on my skin for about an hour, which isn't too bad - but I'd have liked something that lasted longer than that. It's obviously not a perfume so it's going to last for ages, but it's good for a quick spritz and go!

Compared to the last products in the last range, this one seems a lot better and the scent is at least bearable compared to the previous one! The products are also not tested on animals, which is an added bonus. Have you tried any of the Zoella range, past or current? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Real Techniques Stippling Brush | Review

Hello everyone!

Yesterday on a little solo shopping trip, I stumbled (aka walked straight over to) the beauty section in Asda Living, and found a few of the Real Techniques brushes. As much as I wanted all five they had on offer, I decided on just the Stippling Brush for me to use with my foundation. It was only £10.99, which I thought was pretty good considering I've seen it for £12 in other stores (however the given link is for Boots at £11.99).

It's perfect for my foundation, so I'm really happy with this little purchase. The brush is so soft and really works the product onto you without trying to hard! It's definitely different to how I would use my Expert Face brush, but this gave a nice overall finish to my look.

I think it would be better suited for my evenings out, as it gives such a good finish to my foundation. Whereas day-to-day I'm not too fussed! So happy to have added to my collection!

How many of the Real Technique brushes do you own?? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)
