Easter Monday!

Hello everyone!

Last Monday was Easter Monday so my Dad had the day off work and my sister wasn't in college for the day so we had an outing! I've already uploaded the vlog I made onto YouTube! You can find the vlog I done of the day here!

I was the driver for the day, which meant a motorway and I would finally meet. It wasn't as bad as I thought, so I'm hopeful that the 300 mile drive to Cornwall in the summer will be okay. I drove the three of us down to St. Mary's bay in Dymchurch in Kent, and then later we hit Folkstone! Here are just some pictures of our day :)

Top: My car parked up by St. Mary's Bay beach front | Dad & Sibling on the beach | Selfie!
Middle: Tasha | Dad | Me
Bottom: Sibling Selfie | Beach Jump (first attempt!) | Being photo bombed by my sister

Famalam Selfie! | The end of the 'pier' at Folkstone | Folkstone beach

Had a wander through the town, and I bought things in the Works | Dad outside his fave sweet shop which was shut! He looked so sad!

Walking back to the car and the sun got incredibly hot and bright on the way back | Picture of me taken by the sister!

There were a lot more pictures, most of which are blurred or just of the beach repeatedly! Hope you are all having a great day and keep safe :)

Fragrance Direct Haul | Beauty

Hello everyone!

Just another Fragrance Direct blog post again today! I've got an addiction to their website and bargain prices, and when it was payday, I sort of found myself filling up the cart and purchasing all that was within! So here it my bigger-than-usual haul of goodies!

Firstly with the nail polishes. I love doing my nails so I'm always after new polishes! I forgot I'd already bought one yellow when the other went it, but one is shiny and the other is sparkly, so oh well!
L to R: Rimmel Sunshine - £1.55 | Rimmel At Ease - £1.25 | Rimmel Sunny Days - £1.25 | Rimmel Lycra Pro Jungle Princess - £1.25 | Constance Carroll Berry - 50p | Maybelline Fuchsia Fever - £1.75 | Maybelline 830 Silver Speed - £1.75

The yellows are so nice and bright, perfect for summer and the fuchsia is quite matte so I'll definitely use it for nail art, and the silver is so pretty!

Then I picked up these Purex Wipes for 99p which is a bargain! I'm not prone to many blemishes, but just in case, I bought this little Witch Blemish Stick for £2.25. This Simple Eye Make-up Remover Pen is something I saw in Boots the other day, but off of the Fragrance Direct website it was £1.99 instead of £4.99 in shops.

I saw this Royal Large Eye Shadow Brush in some beauty shop down my town, and wasn't sure about it, but the £1.25 price tag on the site persuaded me to it!

Never used a W7 product before, I think they are new, not sure! I've needed a new eyeliner pencil for a while and this gel one is so much easier to apply! W7 Gel Eye Liner Pencil, Blackest Black is 99p on the site.

Ahh Tresemmé! I love their products and I'm always looking for something that makes my hair less drab and more fab (yes I did just say that) and these were perfect. On the left is the Amplifix Hairspray for £1.99 and on the right is the Sculpting Spray Gel for £1.99 also. I've not used the hairspray yet, but the gel spray gave a little oomph into my hair, so I'm happy with that!

Last in my haul is this Katy Perry Purr Perfume for £9.99. If you know me, I am fiercely loyal to my my Playboy Play It Rock perfume which is my all time fave. But I decided I wanted to try some others out! This was the first on my list, so I found it and bought it! The bottle is so cute and that is what persuaded me to get it, and when I smelled it, I liked it a lot - but it's not my Play It Rock! I've used it a few times when going out and it's been complimented at work, so I do like it! However I must have been brainwashed my Playboy as in my opinion, it is still way better than this one and £5 cheaper off Fragrance Direct!

In total this came to £30.24 without P&P charges. The original total would have been £83.31 but with the amazing prices FD does, I saved £50.07 which is incredible! Have you bought anything off the site recently and what sort of saving did you get? Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

Sanctuary Spa Haul | Beauty

Hello everyone!

While in Boots the other day, I noticed their 3 for 2 offer was still ongoing, so I just had to go and raid the Sanctuary Spa section! It's quite pricey compared to what I normally buy, but I love it so much that I allowed myself a little splurge.

I've loved this brand for a few years now after my Mum bought me a set for a Christmas gift. As I'm terrible at describing smells, I won't try, but it's heavenly.

First is this huge 750ml Body Wash as it's 75ml mini version. I've bought the smaller one for my holiday later in the year as it is perfect travel size. The larger one is being used at home now! It has small exfoliating beads inside which give a burst of smell and makes your skin feel extra soft. The larger one was £5.50 and the smaller was £2.50.

These are two products that I've not used from them before, but liked the look of. The Body Spray is just for a quick spritz here and then when I need it! It's quite a big bottle, so won't be able to take it everywhere with me, but if the bag is big enough, it's going in! It cost £6.50. The Body Moisture Spray was £2.50 and part of the 3 for 2 offer. I didn't know what this was, but on the back it said that if your skin is feeling dry, a spritz of this would moisturize the skin and refresh it quickly.

Both of these were in the 3 for 2 offer, and with the moisture spray, I got the Body Lotion price taken off. It would have been £2.50. The body lotion is a nice travel size and perfect for my holiday again! Lastly is my all time fave Sanctuary product is their Hand Cream for £3. There was a larger one for £5, but I thought this was best for handbags and travelling! I use the hand cream most days, but especially after work as my hands are so dry for scanning so much cold food!

I adore this brand and their products, so will definitely be buying some more bits from them next payday! Hope you have an awesome day and keep safe :)

Small Primark Haul | Fashion & Beauty

Hello everyone!

So I found myself in Primark the other day and I picked up a few little bits while there! My sister was with me thankfully or else I'd have bought half the store. This is the least amount of things I've bought in there for quite some time! For the first time I even had a quick look at their beauty supplies and picked up a handful of things before deciding that I didn't need some of them (look at me sticking to a spending ban almost).

I've been looking for a nail buffer for ages, and this 6 way one for £1 is just perfect! I also needed a new nail file, and this pack of four, plus a case for £1 is ideal. My current file is about 8 years old and in serious need of replacing.

Invisible socks. Not a necessity, but my last ones have holes in and this was just a cheap replacement for £1.50!

My fave two purchases of the day are these navy blue capri leggings which I've had my eye on for weeks now. I have them in black and find them so comfortable, so for £3 I picked them up! Be still my beating heart - a Captain America jumper. If you've been with me for a while, you'll know how obsessed I am with Marvel and mainly Captain America. It was £10. I saw it, found my size and was at the till within a few seconds!

Just a teeny haul, but I love it all! The Captain America jumper will be worn a lot, even if it gets hot soon! Hope you liked this haul :) Have a great day and keep safe :)

MUA Glamour Nights Palette Review | Beauty

Hello everyone!

If you remember back to January when I done my first box swap with my blogger friend Abbie, in this post, then you might remember that she sent me a MUA eye shadow palette. I finally got round to using most of the colours and now can review it! Until Christmas I hadn't even heard of the MUA brand, but I love their eye shadows now after my friend Lauren bought me some. This is the Glamour Nights palette, so full of glittery and shimmer shades!

There is a mixture of matte and shimmer shades. There is a silver, bronze, green, gold and pink that are a shimmery glitter, and the others are matte shades. It comes with an applicator and usually retails for about £4 from the ones I've seen in Superdrug!

Top row
Bottom row
I've mainly used the black, bronze and the glittery pink shades. They're not the most pigmented of eyes hadows, so you really have to load up your brush to get them to show up, but if you used an eye primer then they worked a lot easier. After swatching them, I really like the look of the purple and the blue.

Have you got this palette and do you like any of the colours? Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

90's Kid Tag

Hello everyone!

While catching up on my bloglovin posts the other day, I found this 90's kid tag on BVL's blog and just had to do it myself! I was born in 1992, so definitely a 90's baby!

  1. Fave Disney film?
    • Mulan! It came out in 1998, so I was six and it is still my fave now!
  2. NSYNC* or Backstreet Boys?
    • NSYNC! They had the moves, the songs, Justin and IT'S GONNA BE ME.
  3. Fave music artist?
    • Britney, Christina Aguleria and the Spice Girls.
  4. Fave candy/sweet?
    • I have no idea what they were called in the UK, but in America they were called 'Baby Bottle Pop' and I loved them!
  5. Weirdest fashion trend?
    • The skirts over trousers combo and they were SEWN together, so you had to wear them all at once.
  6. Fave console & game?
    • Playstation One - Story Studio, Mulan
  7. What would you watch after school?
    • Catroon Network and Nickleodeon! Fresh Prince of Bel Air | Ed, Edd and Eddy | Rugrats | Brum | Johnny Bravo | Kenan & Kel
  8. Fave book?
    • Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl
  9. Fave clothing store?
    • Quality Seconds, Tammy and Peacocks
  10. A 90's beauty memory?
    • Neon blue hair mascara, and those stick on earrings. I wore them on my ears, the corners of my eyes, on my hands....
Wow memory lane! I was such a cool kid at school ;) If you were a 90's kid too, then do this tag and let me know so I can read your answers! Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

#BloggersDoItBetter - Spring

Hello everyone!

In a recent post, I explained what the #BloggersDoItBetter challenge was and how it would work. If you've not read that, go check it out! The topic we've been given by Gemma for the first post is Spring. I decided on nail art design for this topic and here is what I came up with!

I decided to use 'spring' flowers - daisies and sunflowers! I picked out a few polishes, trying to keep them as minimal as possible and used a dotting tool for this (which I forgot to photograph!)

(Way to go with the camera skills here) I used Maybellie Mino Colorama in Sky Blue, Rimmel Fancy A Dip, Constance Carroll Neon Green, Collection 2000 White Tip and Rimmel Sunshine - there was also a brown polish I used by Rimmel, but it got damaged and thrown out before I thought to take this picture!

I used my nail wheel for this! I painted three of the nails with the Fancy A Dip polish as it is a little darker than the Sky Blue one, which is on the other two nails.

Using the dotting tool, I dotted one or two dots on the darker blue and then surrounded them with white dots, or dotted and dragged the polish to make longer white petals.

On the remaining two nails, I then dotted a circle of brown polish before letting it dry. Afterwards I added dragged dots of yellow with the dotting tool, and made smaller dots on the brown to represent the seeds! Finally, I used a dotting tool to drag the green polish towards to the tip to create the stem!

This was an idea I had all of a sudden when I saw the topic idea, and this is the fist time I've ever done this design so it is a little messy, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would! What do you think of the design? Is it more spring or summer, I can't decided! Hope you enjoyed the first #BloggersDoItBetter challenge post! Have a great day and keep safe :)

Makeup Revolution - New Brand! | Review

Hello everyone!

Today is a post about an amazing new makeup company that has got a number of British bloggers all excited recently! They're so new on the makeup scene that they aren't quite in shops yet, but Superdrug are going to be stocking as of next week (9th April)! Thanks to BritishBeautyBlogger I discovered them in her blog post and had to buy a few products to give them a test run! Go check the company out on their website, where they have almost 300 amazing products for brilliant prices.

I searched the entire site and wanted pretty much everything, but decided on a few basics to get me started and see how much I liked them! I quickly noticed how much it was like the MUA products, but now I've got them and tested them, I can say they are like them yes, but the quality is so SO much better.

Pre warning, this post is incredibly long as I bought a lot of things, so sit back and be prepared for a lot of pictures!

So to start off here is all the products I purchased - 10 things in total.

This is the first of two pallettes which were £4 each which is amazing! This is Iconic 3, which was sadly cracked when it arrived, but oh well! The colours are matte and shimmery. What I like about this is the natural tones which will be perfect for creating a smoky eye with!

The second pallette I bought was Iconic 2 which is my fave of the two already due to it being a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 pallette! For £4 this is amazing! I've been after a similar set like the Urban Decay one, and this was in my basket within seconds of seeing it! Already given it a quick tester and the colours are quite pigmented, as with Iconic 3.

Ahh mascara! This is the Amazing Volume Mascara Waterproof, for only £2. It's a basic bristle brush and a nice dark black!

I've never owned a brow kit before, but this caught my attention due to the little tweezers within the kit! The Focus & Fix kit set I picked up was Light-Medium. There is also a mirror in the compact, as well as a little brush to apply to product and the white part of the quad is wax! I've no idea if other kits are like this, but I love it!

The Matte Foundation I chose was in Cool Ivory. It's hard to tell what shade foundation to get when buying online, so I chose this and as you can see from a swatch two pictures down, it just about matched! This was only £2, which I think is an amazing price for this type of product! The bottle is a squeezey one which will be fine to use, but I do prefer pump bottles.

A concealer for £1.50? Be still my beating heart! This Liquid Concealer in Natural. Again, like the foundation it is a little tricky deciding on what shade to pick. As you can see from the swatch below, when I blended it in, it is a little dark for my skin tone. However, my sister bought one in a light shade as well, so I'll see if that works better for me! Yes, I persuaded my sister to buy things!

The left product is the foundation and the right is the concealer.

Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner for £1.50 is quite a bargain in my opinion! It come in a tiny bottle and the liner brush itself is small and pointed, so hopefully with practice I will be able to use this instead of my go-to eyeliner pens!

Lipsticks! I'm not a huge lip product lover, but these all caught my eye! I picked three from the Limited Edition ranges, just because they were all unique! The only think I'm not too keen on is the smell of them, which I can only describe as playdough-ish? Hopefully with some scented lipglosses over them I won't notice as much! These were all £1 each, so can't complain too much!

Left: Vice from the Scandalous range - Of the three, this is one I'm least likely to wear a lot due to the brightness, but that is the reason I bought it! It is such a rich colour and so smooth that I might wear it more than originally thought!
Middle: 100% Vamp from the Vamp range - I want to buy all of the Vamp collection as they are beautiful. This one is a very dark purple/black colour which is totally different from the pinks and reds I like to use on my lips. I'm going to save this one for a night out with the girls and go all Vampy makeup with it!
Right: Crime from the Scandalous range - This pink is gorgeous! All three of these are rich and creamy, and amazing quality for only £1! This is the sort of colour I usually go for - nice and eye catching!

And that is it! Out of all of these, I am the happiest with the pallettes due to the price and quality of them both. There are handful of other pallettes that they stocked, so I will own them all eventually, it is my mission!

Hope you enjoyed this very long winded post and let me know if you want to try and of these out or if you've already bought them! The link to the website is at the top! Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)

Edit: After the company saw this review, they offered to replace my cracked Iconic 3! I said it was okay as the product itself was fine, but that is some customer service right there!

Wishlist #5

Hello everyone!

Recently it came to my attention that I need some makeup storage. Since October when I became blogging often and buying more products, my tiny plastic storage unit is not really any good anymore. So these are some of the bits I would like to get soon so I can organize!

3 - Acrylic 2 Drawer Storage, Wide |  £10.95 | Muji
4 - 5 Tier Acrylic Nail Polish Storage | £14.99  | Ebay

The Muji storage has been used by a lot of bloggers, and I've fallen in love with them both. Thankfully they aren't as expensive as I originally thought! I'd like all of these really! The nail polish tier has been on my ebay watch list for about four months now, so this is one I am highly likely to buy! What storage do you all have for your products? Hope you're having a great day and keep safe :)
