Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Ten

Hello everyone!

Day Ten: Today we went to Looe, which is a little seaside town with a few shops and places to eat - basically like all of Cornwall. Looe is about an hour or so away from where we stay so it was a nice early start to the day! After Looe we went to Trago Mills which is a very large sorta discount store. I love it there. I could spend all my money in there very easily. We didn't do much once we got back as it was getting pretty late, but I did find a gigantic spider in the bathroom!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

Rocking the Marvel top today | Looe

NELSON! | The water was so clear, we all wanted to jump in it.

Our fave tea room in Looe and it's above a sweet store!

Solero! | Banjo Pier

Granded enjoying and ice cream | High tide mark in the town

Words cannot describe how good this dinner was. We eat here every time we are in Looe, so I recommend it!

We had a really nice sunny day for Looe, and it was nice to be back there after not seeing it for two years! Also, getting to see where the high tide mark was in the town during the bad winter weather they had in February was pretty scary. It was halfway up the high street and we'd have been nearing knee deep in it! Hope you liked this little snippet of the holiday and look out for day eleven soon!

Boots Exfoliating Sponge | Review

Hello everyone!

Again, while in Cornwall I picked up this Exfoliating Sponge in Boots for £1.50. I've been using this with the Boots Cucumber Face Wash, which you can read my review on here. I found that without using this, the faced wash wasn't all that great, but using this sponge made it so much better.

The sponge itself is small enough for the palm of your hand and is pretty soft, but at the same time rough. To use, you simple wet it and apply the face wash onto it, before then rubbing it in a circular motion around your face. Do be careful of the eye area! I accidentally used this on the skin under my eyes and it hurt for hours afterwards!

Once you've used it, you just wash it as best you can with water and then let it dry naturally. It does suggest that you clean it every few washes, so I've been using a normal shampoo just to clean it. If there are any better ways to clean this, please let me know!

For £1.50 I cannot fault this and think it is a really handy little tool to have on standby for all those face washes I hate for not being an exfoliant. Have you tried this and what were your thoughts? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

A Little Vacay

Hello everyone!

I've managed to do a blog post every day for the past 6 weeks (other than Sundays) which I am pretty impressed and amazed by, as I never thought I would have that much to talk about! But I've wrote myself into a slump and hit writers block. I've still got about 30-ish products ready to review and write up for you all, along with the rest of my Cornwall holiday posts and some new ones from recent days out as well.

However due to having a pretty busy week with my dad last week and then working all weekend, I've not had much time to get well written posts in order for this week. I tend to write my posts the week before they go live and have them scheduled. Not this week though.

So in order for me to get my muse going again and make some posts that are actually worth reading, I'm taking this week off so I can get some content going! Beautiful Avenger will be back to usual posting madness on Monday the 29th, so keep an eye out for that! I'm still going to be going crazy on twitter and you can watch my youtube videos if you want while I'm absent!

And my 1st blog birthday is coming up on October 3rd which I am super excited about, so there is a giveaway to get in order as well ;)

Hope you are all having a great start to the week, and I will see you next Monday! Keep safe :)

Boots Cucumber Face Wash | Review

Hello everyone!

I love a good Boots beauty buy and this is one of those that I had to pick up! I picked this up for £1.50 while in Cornwall and have used it a few times since then to see what I think of it. This face wash is part of the essentials range and is usually on a three for two deal whenever I see it.

I liked the tube it came in and it does a good job of cleaning the face but there are some thing I'm not a massive fan of. If you've been with my blog for a while now, you'll know I am a lover of all exfoliating face washes and nothing else. I knew this wouldn't do that as it's not an exfoliating products, so with that aside, I like it as a wash and nothing else. Also, I usually love cucumber as a scent for things but this just smelled funny.

It's a pretty decent consistency and make my skin feel softer and fresher after use. I'll take that over a bad outcome! I won't buy this again, but if you are after something that isn't an exfoliating product, then this is perfect for that use!

Have you used this and what were your thoughts on it if you have? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Nine

Hello everyone!

Day Nine: Today we went back to Crealy as we had our 7 day free return ticket! The weather was a lot hotter for this second trip and the pictures below do not do it justice! The vlog for today (which is linked below) shows you the rides and what we got up to a lot better!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

We had a pretty great day and the sun meant we were hot all day! The log flume got us totally soaked and I had wet shoes for the rest of the day! After Crealy we went to Newquay for dinner and a mini shop, before heading back home! Hope you enjoyed this installment of the holiday as there aren't many left to go!

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Eight

Hello everyone!

Day Eight: Today was our 'stay at camp' day. As Saturday is change over day and the Cornish roads get really busy with traffic, we always stay at the campsite and the beach for the day. Grandad didn't share this idea so he went to Padstow on the bus for the day, while the three of us went for a cliff walk, mini golf and dinner! It was really nice to just have a walk around and explore for the day and not have to travel anywhere!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

The scenery and weather was so damn pretty today!

Our beach view from the cliff top | Lunch for the day!

Golfing around down at Berryfields
We had dinner at the Tradea Inn which is at the end of the road where our campsite is. This is the view of our beach from the restaurant! Me and dad had this yummy homemade burger and chips!

It was another really good day and I got a nice tan from it! It was also nice to just wander around and get a lot of pictures of the area again, as I missed going last year and so many of the cliff tops have changed as some have crumbled away into the sea now. That dinner was so delicious and I would definitely have that again when we go next year!

Blow Pro Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Hello everyone!

While in Cornwall I spotted some hair care items on sale in Superdrug and picked them up to give them a try. I've never heard of this brand before so had no idea what they would be like to use. Blow pro is one of the new brands I've never seen in the stores before but I've given them a whirl at last! I picked up the Volumizing Shampoo for £1.75 and the Volumizing Conditioner for 70p. Both were incredibly cheap, considering they are both £6.99 to buy now.

The packaging is pretty simple and that is what caught my eye about it. All the products near it were in really colourful bottles, bu the almost plain white of these is what made me look at them. And then seeing the 'clearance' sign under them made me put them in my basket before my sister could stop me.

I love that this wasn't tested on animals. I don't look for this in a product when I am shopping, but when I saw this it made me really happy. For me to even try something that isn't Herbal Essences or Morrison's own brand, then these really need to work for me!

So what did I think of them? Honestly other than there not being much of a scent, these didn't really stand out to me. I didn't notice much of a difference in the volume of my hair after using this and blow drying my hair at all. Maybe I'll need to use it a few more times before I see a difference? I'm not sure. I've used it twice this week, while using my other branded ones as well, but nothing really changed. The shampoo was quite runny which I've never seen before and the conditioner was like a paste-ish substance. I'm going to still use them and see if using them more often will have an effect, but I don't think it will.

Overall, I won't buy these again and will be sticking to my usual ones! Have you tried these or any of the other Blow Pro products? Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Rimmel Wonder'full Argan Oil Mascara

Hello everyone!

While in Cornwall, the new Rimmel mascara was released and after reading a couple of reviews on it, I ended up buying it. It was £7.99 in Boots so I picked it up while in Falmouth one day and have given it a try for a few weeks now to review it properly.

Cons: The argan oil is supposedly meant to make the lashes feel and look better. If anything they felt almost the same as when I use other mascaras.

Pros: The packaging and the tube are really easy to hold and the colour looks amazing. It didn't and still hasn't created any clumpy lashes. The spoolie is in a shape I like! There was a slight change in the length, but nothing really obvious.

Overall: I would probably buy this again, but I've also got mascaras that are a few pounds cheaper than this and work so much better. I'm not going to go out of my way to pick it up in the stores, but I'm likely to get it again if I felt like it. The main thing is that I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a new mascara or just to change it up a bit!

Have you tried this product and what are your views on it if you have? Hope you have a great day and keep safe!

I Don't Know About You, But I'm Feeling 22!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! I'm 22. So for my birthday, I'm going to share some pictures of myself from over the years. Here it goes...

I've changed so much! And wow my hair was so long as a 9 year old - I remember having it all cut off into a bob when I was 15 and I hated it! I then dyed it really blonde when I was 17/18 so it looks like I am partially bald in that picture, but it's gone back to my natural color again and has grown to a decent length once more!

And now for a song. I've been waiting since March 2013 to use this. Sing it Swifty!!:

That's all I have for you today folks as I'm off to see my cousins for the day before going out to dinner tonight with my sister, mum and her partner! Hope you all have an amazing day like I am planning to have, and keep safe :)
