Collection Lengthening Mascara | Review

Hello everyone!

As you may know, Collection is my all time fave makeup brand due to the quality and affordability of their products. A love of mine is mascara, which you can never have too many of! I picked up this particular one from Boots back in the summer and finally need to review it! For £3.99 it is really affordable and a great produ

The fact it is waterproof as well just makes me happy! The brush is somewhat weird to me, but it worked wonders. It separates the lashes so there is minimal clumps and it actually does what it advertises. It is also very waterproof. It took a lot of cleansing water to get this off!

Again, another Collection product that I cannot fault! Have you tried this and what did you think of it? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

MCM Comic Con London 2014

Hello everyone!

On the 25th an 26th of this month, I went to the MCM Comic Con in London with my cousin's Daniel and Lucy! This is the first Expo/Con that I've ever been too, and it was AMAZING. I thought I would share some pictures of the weekend with you all, so I hope you enjoy! You can find out more about the event HERE. The dates for the Expo next year have been released already, and I so badly want to go again!

The vlog from the weekend can be found HERE!

Saturday 25th
Today I woke up at 4:30am to get ready! I had to pick my cousins at 5:30 so we could get to the train station for the 6am train! I've never been so sleepy and hyper all at once so early in the day! We caught three trains, the final one being the DLR to the Excel Centre in London. We hadn't bought tickets in advance so we had to go to the general entry for the day and OMG the queue.
We queued up for FOUR hours. It was 11;50am by the time we actually got our wristbands and I swear had the staff not let us in at that moment, the 1000+ people in the queue with us would have rioted.
Top Tip - BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE.
After finally getting into the Expo, we headed into one of the halls and had a quick wander around before going to locate Daniel and Lucy's friend Matt who was running the Eddsworld booth there. First time I've met him and he was so nice!
We then spent the next four hours walking around and buying things, looking at some awesome cosplay outfits people were decked out in and took a few pictures before having to head off to the DLR at 4pm to get our train home.
Yep, we wasted most of the day queuing up at the start. Went home and straight to bed before day two...

On the train | Queuing for 45 minutes,,,
With the cousins! | So close to the front... One more hour left
Eddworld booth | Hobbit Banner

Sunday 26th
Today I woke up at 5:30am to get ready as the train was at 7am today! Sunday was the day we chose to do cosplay - aka dress up. We all chose Harry Potter characters. Daniel was Mad-Eye Moody, Lucy was Bellatrix and I was a generic Gryffindor Student/Lavender Brown!
Having had some sense, I purchased priority tickets for the day, so we queued for less than 10 minutes today!
Within 30 minutes of the Expo being open, I'd spent £30 and picked up things I'd seen the day before and not been able to get to the booth to buy! We also had a lot of pictures taken as our little group and Daniel must have had at least 20 on his own as he was the only Mad-Eye up there. I witnessed a lightsaber fight up there and it was just epic.
We had lunch with Matt before going off to buy more things and then to take part in a little Potter vs. LOTR duel/fight photoshoot! I've never had so much fun with people I didn't know. It's great all having a love for a fandom and getting to have fun!
After the little meet up, we departed to go do a last minute walk around the Expo and bought a final few things, before saying goodbye to Matt and getting back on the DLR!

Nick Fury | Captain America;Winter Soldier characters & Tony Stark
With Matt!
Loki & Black Widow | War Machine
Snow White | Pikachu
Professor Trewlawny & Luna Lovegood | The ORIGINAL MM POWER RANGERS
Floating Pikachu | Crowds outside on the steps
With the Potter/LOTR meet up and Sherlock was killed!!

This was the first Expo I've been too, and also the first time cosplaying and I had SOOO much fun. I miss is already, along with missing my cousins! I'm already thinking about ideas for the next cosplay and hoping I can go in May and October next year!

Have you ever been to an Expo, or did you go to this one? Let me know as I'd love to see your pictures! Hope you have an awesome day everyone and keep safe :)

Tanya Burr Mini Marshmallows | Review

Hello everyone!

If you didn't already know, I'm a lover of Tanya Burr's nail polishes. When I saw Tanya was bringing out her Lips and Nails collection, I was very happy to see a pink shade, and even more so at the title for it! 'Mini Marshmallows' sounded so cute and the colour was adorable, so I had to get it!

For £5.99 at Superdrug, you can't fault the finish and the colour. The picture above is only one coat of the polish, but it looks a lot better with two for this shade. Again, like the Mischief Managed one, the only thing I'm not a massive lover of is the brush handle as the square shape made it a little tricky to hold comfortably. But that is just a personal preference and doesn't affect the products itself!

I've got one more from the range to try still, so look out for that coming soon! Have you tried any of Tanya's products and what did you think of the? Let me know below. Have a great day and keep safe :)

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Days Thirteen & Fourteen

Hello everyone!

Day Thirteen and Fourteen: Day 13 was our last full day in Cornwall so we spent the morning in Newquay for a last shopping trip before spending the afternoon down at the beach and cave exploring! We packed up that evening and by 6am on day 14, we were in the car for our 7 hour journay back home! We didn't have any accidents on the way home (yay!) However, after leaving the heat of Cornwall, we arrived home to rain :( What a holiday!

You can watch the vlog for these two days HERE.

The 'I'm a Rock' one was done by another beach go-er and then we done the other three! Mine was about my twitter, which has since changed!
Sunny beach at 6pm in the evening before going back to pack | The following day, back home - the rain began :)

We had such a great holiday and cannot believe how nice the weather was. The past 7 years of Cornwall holidays have been horribly rainy for 90% of the holiday, so this was sooo nice to have hot sunshine for the two weeks! I really hope you liked these posts and that is this series over with! Have a great day and keep safe :)

Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Blemish Stick | Review

Hello everyone!

Another purchase from Boots a while ago was the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Blemish Stick. I'm not prone to spots on breakout - thank you DNA! - and rarely have to worry about a spot appearing. However, once in a blue moon a little spot will appear somewhere on my face and I want it gone. I saw this little beauty for £2.59 in Boots on a trip weeks ago and decided to pick it up. I was actually praying for a spot to appear just so I could use this - and then one popped up!

Inside the little box is the product itself. The box has all the information on it that you need, so I've kept this for the time being. The tube itself is a push up one. You just poke the bottom a little and then the stick will pop out a little more for to to use. You can either dab this straight onto the spot or onto your finger then onto the spot.

It's a hard gel-like product so it's not going to spill anywhere thankfully! It worked somewhat on the spots I had. They were only small to start with, but they were gone in a few days, so I'm going to say that this helped. This also cooled the area as well, so it didn't feel sore and it decreased the redness around the area too.

Have you used this and found it to be any good? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Simple Revitalising Eye Roll On | Review

Hello everyone!

Here is a product I never thought I'd buy. This Simple Revitalising Eye Roll On is one of those products that I find a bit... odd. I don't see much point in it. However, it was on offer in Boots a month ago when I purchased it, but you can pick it up for £5.49 if you like the look of it! It comes in a little box and then inside that is the little tube.

I love the Simple brand, and I know Garnier have done something similar to this as my friend has one! The little tube has a screw cap which holds this little rolling metal ball, which will coat itself with the formula as you roll it under your eyes.

I haven't been able to see or feel much of a difference, but first thing of a morning this is cooling enough to wake me up a bit. It didn't do much for the little bit of puffiness my eyes were showing however. I don't think this is worth the nearly £6 at all, and I'd bought it for £3.99 in the offer. I don't feel it works for me, so I won't buy this again.

Have you tried this and had a better experience? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Rimmel Sweetie Crush Polishes | Review

Hello everyone!

Back in the summer, I found these two polishes from Rimmel as part of their Sweetie Crush range. There are five shades in the range, but being a lover of pink and purple nails, these are the two that I picked up. Each being £3.99 in Superdrug, I picked up Violet Swizzle and Candyfloss Cutie. Both of these are 'effect nail polishes' meaning they have a 3D texture.

The best way I can explain the texture is like sand/sandpaper. It's basically colourful sandy polish that becomes sandpaper when you wear it. I loved the idea and the concept and the colours. But actually wearing them has proven a slight challenge. If you need to scratch yourself, you can and you'll get an extra buffing from the textured nails to go with it.

And forget about wearing tights with this on.

They are not something I will re purchase or use a lot sadly. Have you had a better experience with these or is it just me that finds these an problem? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

Cornwall Holiday Diary, Day Twelve

Hello everyone!

Day Twelve: Today we went to the King Edward Mine (KEM) for a look around the old mining site and to see how the process of ore and tin was sorted. There was also a nature walk to some of the old mine buildings which was nice, a part for it being so hot outside we felt like we were melting! We then headed to the White House for dinner, before going to Perranporth for a shop and wander around. The weather was once again gloriously hot!

You can watch the vlog for this day HERE.

OOTD | The entrance to the mine

Um... this was a thing (aka I don't remember for the life of me what this was) | The 'wobbly thing' that sorted the tin!

One of the old Stamping buldings | A lone horse in a field on the nature walk

Dinner at the White House | Perranporth beach

We had a really nice hot day again! The KEM was interesting, but it was so hot that the nature walk was just too much effort and I got heat stroke (again) from this day! Dinner at the White House was delicious as usual and we have yet to have a bad meal there! Perranporth was packed with people as expected in the heat, so we stuck to the shops and bought a few little trinkets and gifts for people as this was our second to last full day on holiday!

The next Cornwall post will be the last of this holiday series, so I hope you've been enjoying them! Have a great day and keep safe :)
