I'm not the biggest lover of lip products, but during the winter, lips crack and get dry so much quicker, so I thought I would give this little beauty a try. You can pick this up in Boots for £4.49. It's a small silver tube with a red tinted balm inside that you can push up by winding the bottom half of the tube. The red shade is lovely, it's a nice sheer tint and has a berry scent and taste to it - which is quite nice.
However, as I mentioned up the top - I don't like lip products a lot. I really wanted to like this as the sheer shade and the scent are both wonderful, but I just can't get along with it.
I've tried it a few times and just find it too tacky, and it comes off after an hour or so which meant I had to keep reapplying it. I'm a much bigger fan of lip stains!! It does a good job though, I just didn't like it personally. It moisturises the lips really well and gets a nice coverage with the rounded balm tip - so you are getting a really good product!
Have you tried this before and what other balms do you like? Let me know! Hope you have a great day and keep safe :)

I've never tried this carmex lip balm before, but I have tried the carmex ones in the little tubs and I find them great! I get awful dry lips in winter, and the carmex tubs help alot!

This is pretty good to use and works really well, but I personally didn't like it as I'm biased against lip products!! xx
DeleteI'm currently using the same lip balm and have a similar view to it as you. I'm not really a fan of tinted balms as i find they just get everywhere, like you I prefer a stain for colour. My favourite lip balm has to be the Nivea Lip Butters, the scents are all amazing :) x
ReplyDeleteStains just work so much better for me, and their colour is so lush!! This is still a decent product, I just didn't get along with it! xx
